Normally, our program is exclusive to our dogs, but we’re so happy with the quality and care at New London Doodles that we’re extending our training to their dogs too.
For clients coming from New London Doodles, we have two training options available to you:
1-Month Doodle Training Program
Our one-month training program for Doodles lays the foundation for your puppy’s well-behaved future.
- This program covers basic housebreaking, potty training, and obedience commands, setting your puppy up for good behavior.
- You’ll receive a younger pup with basic obedience training, ready for you to continue at home.
- We’ll provide all the instructions you need to keep up the great work!
3-Month Doodle Training Program
Each pup will live with a Certified Dog Trainer in a private puppy home during their training program, building good habits right from the start.
- This program includes everything from the 1-month program, but with extended training for a longer duration, ensuring deeper learning and better results.
- We’ll provide all the instructions you need to keep up the great work!
Free Delivery in NC, VA, DC, & MD
If you enroll your puppy with us, we’ll take care of all the logistics.
- We can pick up your puppy from their farm or have them deliver it to us.
- Your puppy will stay with one of our Certified Dog Trainers during its training.
- You’ll enjoy all the perks and benefits of being one of our regular clients. The only difference is you’ll retain the health guarantee from New London Doodles.
- Once training is complete, a trainer will hand-deliver your puppy to you, ensuring you’re satisfied with the training and know how to give all the commands.
You’ll Be Informed Every Step of the Way
We’ll send you periodic pictures throughout the journey – and you’ll have full access to our customer support team.
We’ll also keep your puppy up to date on all shots, vet visits, grooming, and regular upkeep at our expense while it’s with us.

General FAQs
Our training program is personalized, with each puppy living in the home of a Certified Dog Trainer. This ensures a consistent and nurturing environment where your puppy receives one-on-one attention and training tailored to their needs. Most training programs won’t potty train your dog. In fact, often YOU have to potty train it before sending it in for training. In our one month program we will start all the basics of potty training for you so that your pup has a firm foundation. In the three month program we complete the process and you will have a puppy ready to be a civilized member of your home.
Your puppy will learn essential commands, socialization skills, and good manners, setting a solid foundation for a well-behaved adult dog. Our program also includes regular vet visits, grooming, and upkeep, ensuring your puppy is healthy and well-cared for during their stay.
Your puppy will be trained in the home of its trainer, providing an environment similar to your home so that the puppy can transfer its training easily. Living with a Certified Dog Trainer in a home environment helps your puppy adapt more easily and learn faster compared to traditional kennel-based training programs. It also allows us to help potty train it, which kennel programs can’t help with.
We send periodic pictures and updates throughout the training journey. You’ll also have full access to our customer support team, ensuring you’re always in the loop about your puppy’s progress.
Once the training is complete, a trainer will hand-deliver your puppy to you. They will spend time with you to ensure you’re comfortable with the commands and training methods used, and answer any questions you may have.
Yes, you will retain the health guarantee from New London Doodles. We also provide additional health care, including shots, vet visits, and grooming, at our expense while your puppy is with us.
Our customer support team is available throughout the training period to address any questions or concerns you may have. We aim to ensure a smooth and reassuring experience for both you and your puppy.
We handle all logistics. We can either pick up your puppy from their farm or arrange for them to deliver it to us. At the end of the training program, a trainer will hand-deliver your puppy to you and provide a thorough handover session.
Training FAQs
Our trainers will begin teaching the following commands to your puppy during our 1 month training program, and solidify those skills with continued training in the 3 month training program:
- ‘Sit’
- ‘Down’
- ‘Come’
- ‘Ok’ – as permission to stop sitting/staying.
- ‘Off’ – to respond immediately if jumping up ever occurs.
- ‘Place’– go to a designated open bed or mat.
- Stair trained– to be able to go up and down stairs at a reasonable pace.
By the time your puppy graduates from our 3 month training program, they will be able to:
- Crated 8-9 hours at night without accidents.
- Able to hold between potty breaks for 3 hours during the day.
- Rarely chews something inappropriate while someone is present.
- Understands and responds to the ‘leave it’ command’.
- Nipping and jump-trained.
- Does not bite hands and will rarely jump up on people.
*If your puppy is enrolled in the 1 month training program, the foundations will be laid for these behaviors so that you can continue reinforcing them in your home.
Your puppy will be:
- Used to visiting other people’s homes, pet-friendly stores, and dog parks/walks.
- Accustomed to individuals and children of various ages.
- Accustomed to being handled by a veterinarian and health professionals.
- Accustomed to being handled by a groomer.
- Familiar with television noise, sounds of household appliances, music, sounds of traffic, and blow dryers.
Yes! By the time your puppy graduates from our 3 month training program, they will have mastered the following skills:
- Leash training to loose-leash walking – to walk on the left side and rarely pull.
- Knows how to auto-sit each time the walker stops.
- Car traveling – take a ride without having any potty accidents for 4 hours.
The 1 month training program is ideal for you if:
- You want your puppy to come home with basic housebreaking and potty training skills.
- You want a jumpstart on obedience training, that you can continue once your puppy comes home.
- You want to bring home a younger puppy and do the bulk of its training yourself, but still have the foundation laid for good behavior.
The 3 month training program is ideal for you if:
- You want your puppy to be completely potty trained by the time they enter your home.
- You want your puppy to have mastered basic obedience commands and leash training.
- You want to skip the most trying puppy stages during those first few months, and have a well-mannered doodle upon its integration into your home.
